Mitchell Elementary's
1st Grade!
Positive Reinforcement
Lucky Duck
Each day a random duck is drawn out of our jar! Every student is assigned their own duck. Only the teacher knows who the "lucky duck" is for the day. Before dismissal if that student has an over all good day, they get a treat and a Lucky Duck certificate that goes home!
Class Tokens
Mrs. Osmera & Mrs. King use tokens in their classroom. The class, as a whole, earns tokens that are placed in an empty jar. Once the jar is full the class celebrates with a fun reward!
Bucket Filler Award
All three teachers hand out a Bucket Filler Award at the end of each week. Students can earn a bucket filler award by:
1. Pulling no sticks that week
2. Handing all HomeFun in on time
3. Working hard in class
4. Being a good example for others
When a student receives a bucket filler award they get to dig into the classroom treasure box for a prize!
